Mamacita

MMy name used to be Reagan but my foster mom calls me Mamacita because I’m a hot tamale of old gal. She calls me a spicy grandma because I don’t hide my feelings. If I don’t like you, I’ll tell you! I really prefer women to men because a man hurt me once and I just can’t seem to get past that. I have been friendly to a few men, but they’re a little scary so it will take a special patient one to win me over.

My foster also says I’m a good grandma to the other young pups here. I’ll play with them, but I’ll also put them in their place when necessary. I really like dogs smaller than me, which shouldn’t be hard to find because I’m an 8 year old lab x Great Dane mix and I’m about 85lbs. My best friends here are all under 30lbs.

As an older gal, I love naps and leisurely walks. I will follow you wherever you go! I like soft beds with furry blankets and lots of pillows. I’m really well behaved when you have to leave too and when you get back I’ll do my happy dance! Sometimes I get really excited and forget how big I am and I’ll knock stuff over, but I’m just so excited to see you again.

My foster says it’s important to tell you that I can take time to trust and really warm up to you. It took me about a month of being here to trust her, but she’s showed me that not all humans are mean and I feel like I can more easily trust now. She said it’s truly a special thing to gain the trust of a senior dog who has been through so much bad in her life. I promise to love and trust you for the rest of my days if you promise to love me for the rest of mine.
